About Central Florida Building Inspectors

Central Florida Building Inspectors was established to provide accurate and trust-worthy residential, commercial and industrial inspections for a potential buyer or seller. We have performed over 15,000 home and commercial inspections for the Central Florida area since 1988. Central Florida Building Inspectors is a family-owned business. We pride ourselves on the quality of our inspections & our excellent customer service.

When you make a call to us, the phone will be personally answered by one of our highly-experienced office staff or our certified inspectors but never by an answering service or call center. Feel free to ask any questions you have about the home inspection process. Your home inspection will be performed in a professional, thorough and detailed manner. Once finished with our certified home inspection, we will take you around to show any of the problem areas. We will also show you the important shut-off and disconnects associated with the property. You will leave the inspection feeling informed and assured about the condition of the property so you will know whether to proceed with the purchase or not.

JT Edgren

JT Edgren has been performing residential home inspections & commercial building inspections in the Orlando area since 1999. He has completed thousands of independent property inspections & is currently licensed in many different categories of inspections. JT is the President of Central Florida Building Inspectors and also owns and operates Elite Mold Services. JT is also currently State-Licensed for Home Inspections, a Certified Home Inspector, Certified & State-Licensed for Mold Inspections and Assessments, a State-Licensed Radon Technician, and a State-Licensed WDO (Termite) Inspector.

James Pence
State-Licensed Home Inspector – HI #8099

James Pence has been in the General Construction industry for over 18 years in the Indianapolis, Indiana area before moving to Florida in late 2013. He then joined our CFBI team and began performing residential and commercial property inspections and is currently certified to perform various types of inspections including wind mitigation, well water quality testing, pools/spas, roof certifications and much more. James is a State-Licensed Home Inspector and a State-Licensed WDO (Termite) Inspector. James is also a Certified Professional Inspector with InterNACHI (International Association of Certified Home Inspectors).

Kevin Donnally
State-Licensed Home Inspector – HI #10197

Kevin has been a lineman and in the construction industry for 17 years before joining the CFBI team of inspectors. Kevin is a State-Licensed Home inspector, a State-Licensed WDO (Termite) Inspector, and a Certified Professional Inspector in good standing with the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors. Kevin is certified to perform home inspections, commercial building inspections, wind mitigations, WDO inspections, pool and spa inspections, roof inspections and much more. Kevin is a proud member of InterNACHI (International Association of Certified Home Inspectors).

Bryon Borchardt
State-Licensed Home Inspector – HI# 11070

Bryon was brought-up working in residential construction with his father’s business. When he entered the corporate world of retail and later the healthcare industry, he continued to assist his brothers in construction on his off time. During his experience in retail and healthcare he would inspect potential commercial buildings and units for expansion as well as collaborate with architects and contractors to complete remodeling/expansion of commercial buildings. Bryon is a State-Licensed Home inspector, a State-Licensed WDO (Termite) Inspector; he is certified to perform home inspections, wind mitigations, WDO inspections, pool and spa inspections and much more. Bryon is a proud member of InterNACHI (International Association of Certified Home Inspectors) and FABI (Florida Association of Building Inspectors).

John Behm

John Behm has been involved in the construction management and development industry for over 13 years in the Omaha, Nebraska area before moving to Florida in mid-2014 and joining the CFBI team of inspectors. John is a State Licensed Home Inspector, State Licensed WDO (termite) inspector, and a Certified Professional Inspector in good standing with the International Association of Certified Home inspectors. John is certified to perform various types of inspections, including, but not limited to, home inspections, wind mitigations, commercial building inspections, WDO inspections, roof inspections, pool and spa inspections. John is a member InterNACHI (International Association of Certified Home Inspectors.

Jason Dorman
State-Licensed Home Inspector – HI# 11804

Jason is one of our newest members of the CFBI team and is a State-Licensed Home inspector in good standing with the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors. Jason is certified to perform home inspections, wind mitigations, pool and spa inspections, roof inspections, and much more. Jason is a proud member of InterNACHI (International Association of Certified Home Inspectors and has completed over 160 hours of education and certification courses related to home, buildings and issues relating to them.
